My Family's Songkarn Holiday and IT

    As everyone knows, Songkarn is a festival that celebrating the traditional Thai New Year, held in April and usually be long holidays for Thai people to take a rest, travel, stay with family, or else depending on one's lifestyle. In the past, I liked to go outside enjoying throwing and sprinkling of water with my high-school friends in popular areas such as Silom Road, Siam Square, and etc. On the other hand, I now prefer staying at home with my family relaxing together in pleasantly warm home rather than going outside with friends. It might be because I am getting older and have less time to be with family since I have begun my university life. Therefore, a chance to live with family is now so valuable for me. This might be a reason supporting me to decide to go back home and do some activities with cute people in my family for this 2016 Songkarn Day.

         There are many activities we have done together during Songkarn holidays which I would like to share in this post. To begin with, my family is deciding about to travel abroad after I graduate. The destination has not yet selected. It might be Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, or other countries. So, I updated about air information through online channel like Facebook Webpage that provide information about ticket promotions, interesting tour package, and any services facilitated tourists to arrive any desired destinations in order to help me and my family easier to choose the destination. Hence, this is one of activities I have done during Songkarn holidays. Moreover, since I and my mom insanely love shopping as I already mentioned in the previous post, we also use this leisure time during the holidays finding and seeking information about shopping promotion also. All of us had been enjoying surfing the internet so much. My dad and mom realized that internet might become the main factor for next generation to study and learn new creative things or even the past history.

           Furthermore, I am now concerning about my future career due to I am going to graduate in the next coming month. I started seeking for the job by attend ABAC Career Week and apply to various companies I am interested in. Also, I registered to the website that facilitate people who are seeking for job and companies which are looking for employees. The website will match qualifications of job seekers and requirements of recruiting companies. Then, people can choose to apply for which job they prefer. The website I registered is JOBDB.com which is very useful for me.The website helps me filter the jobs by classifying jobs through its functions, salary, location, and other factors. It also facilitate me by sending me the e-mail of jobs that match and appropriate with my qualifications as shown in the below figure.

      Lastly, my brother has been falling in love with motorcycle and he has sought many video in Youtube to entertain himself, parents, and me during this 2016 Songkarn holidays. Also, he loves to share his photos with motorcycle in his Facebook because he has joined online community of bikers. Sincerely speaking, my family and I feel a bit worried about his safety while driving. So, during this long holidays, my parents and I decided to talk to him. Fortunately, he understand that everyone care and love him. So, he did not go biking during Songkarn in order not to make parents worried and my family is finally happy together at our home. My Skincare and Cosmetics’ Life Cycle

           In this post today, I will talk about the product life cycle of my skincare and cosmetics as the topic mentioned. I always feel excited when talking about cosmetics, skincare, or any products related to beauty because of I am a kind of person that love things about beauty as most girls always be. I usually purchase new cosmetics in the stages of introduction. When there are the launching of any products I am interested in I always don’t miss a chance to buy those products on the grand opening day. As in the picture below, I went to Paragon in the date of Chanel skincare’s grand opening in order to buy their products especially. Also, I am counted as Chanel’s exclusive member due to when I buy their products I always buy in the huge amount because my hometown is not in the city, so; I and my mom usually like to buy them in the huge amount in order to spread out the time to repurchase those items.

 

          Moreover, I am falling in love with new innovation of cosmetics called “Foundation Cushion” which is a new kind of foundation. Actually, this kind of product has been launched since last year but in this year, they are produced in new packages with cute designs. Most brands competitively launch their products with interesting cute design. Therefore, the idea to collect them as my “Cushion Collection” comes to my mind. I started buying foundation cushion that have the design I like and quality that match with my skin type. So, now I have lots of foundation cushion from various brands in my collection as in the pictures below.

 

           However, as I said from the beginning that I love to buy those products at the introduction stage, I sometimes feel bored some of them or their quality are not match with my skin type, therefore; I decided to sell some of them buy posting the picture of them with the details in Facebook webpages or Instagram that interested in the second-hand cosmetics. Furthermore, the time period I decided to sell some of my stuffs, it’s usually in the stage of maturity. So, I can easily sell them. Here are some stuffs I posted to sell.

        To sum up, I always buy my beauty stuffs at introduction stage and sell if I want in maturity stages. After I get the money from selling my beauty stuffs as the second-hand product, I have money to continue buying new interesting beauty products. It can be described as “technology S curve cycle” which explain that when one kind of product launched in the stage of introduction, growing in growth stage, being popular in maturity stage until falling into decline stage. There will be another new product launch into the market and its life cycle will also follow those stages I mentioned before. Finally, you are welcome to talk with me if you are also beauty lover ;)

My Last Three Electronic Dictionary!

               In this post, I want to share my experiences in using dictionary since in text version to application version. I have had three electronic dictionaries in my life since I was grade 5 student until now.

      
          To begin with, I am definitely sure that people of my age used to experience looking up for the meaning of vocabularies from dictionary in text version when we were little children as grade 1 to 4 approximately. It takes quite long minutes to find the meaning of each words. Fortunately, there are the innovation of dictionary improvement as we have grown up. It is the establishment of electronic dictionary since I am about grade 5. Using electronic dictionary takes shorter time to find for vocabularies' meaning. I had a chance to own my first electronic dictionary. It's called "Talking Dict". I was very excited when I got it. It is the electronic dictionary with black and white color version of screen. Its functions are many types of dictionary in two languages which are English and Thai. There are English to Thai and Thai to English translation provided. Also, there are some games provided in the Talking-Dict.

   

           For my second electronic dictionary, I got it when I was in grade 7. Since I studied in English program, it seems like the requirement to use electronic dictionary due to I need shorter time in finding vocabularies' meaning in order to be able to catch up the lesson teacher taught. My second electronic dictionary came up with colorful screen and touching feature. Also, there are several languages provided in translation feature which are English, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and more. Moreover, there were a lot of games provided and MP3 function. I can listen to the music via my electronic dictionary. At this time, its called "Cyber Dict". Cyber Dict might be the developed version of Talking-Dict in term of  screen color, more languages, more special functions, and etc.  Therefore, my Cyber Dict has more special features available comparing to my Talking-Dict.

   

           For the last and interesting electronic dictionary I have ever used, it is "Dictionary Application". In this version of dictionary, it is not only the electronic dictionary with other functions but it is the electronic gadget with several functions including dictionary application. People do not need to carry many devices as before. For instance, When I was high school student who was using Talking-Dict or Cyber Dict, I had to bring many devices to school as the electronic dictionary, mobile phone, calculators, and etc. But now as I am being university student who's using the mobile phone with dictionary application, I am only carry one smartphone and able to find vocabularies' meaning. As the above example I described, we can see that dictionary application is suitable to use with not only in the laptop but also the smartphone. Therefore, it is very clear that the new functions that this version of dictionary provided and the before versions do not have is that it provides more channels to access the information and the way to use.

          To sum up, I shared my experiences of these three electronic dictionaries to all of you because of one lesson which is I want to say that there are many educational devices in this world have been developed and those devices are waiting for all of us to use it to learn the new things in the right ways. My SWOT and Information Technology

 

 

            To start with, I would like to introduce my SWOT analysis and link it with information technology or IT as how I use IT to reduce my weaknesses and to strengthen my strengths. Nowadays, technology may be perceived as one kind of the helpful tools especially, information technology. IT can help people to easily access to any information they want to know; for instance, if people want to get some information about Galaxy, they can search it from Google website comparing to the past, people have to go to library, finding books that relate to the topics they want, and read through those books. So, we can clearly illustrate that IT can help people to live their life more convenient in the aspect of saving time from doing one thing to be able to do more things by taking the same period of time. This makes me realize that I also can use IT to improve my strengths and to reduce my weaknesses. The figure below shows my SWOT analysis or my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

 

 

            Then, here is how my SWOT related to IT. For this relationship between my SWOT and IT, I will focus only on my strengths and weaknesses. As you can see from the figure above that some of my strengths are being committee of several department in Assumption University, internship experience and having strong connection. Surely, I can improve these strengths by IT. First of all, being commitee has given me a chance to know many group of people such as MGT alumni, many batches of MGT committee, MGT lecturers, and etc. IT helps me to keep those friendships due to I has various channels to communicate with those people. For example, there are many Line groups of MGT people to communicate with each others, official Instagram, and also Facebook webpage. These can help me to communicate to MGT people easier. I can share and get information about my major easier such as if committees have news to announce, they can use any channels to broadcast the news because every social media that Management Major has is easy to access by AU and management students. Moreover, I am able to have advising about courses, university life, working life, and job opportunities with my senior friends. In  another word, IT can help me improve my connection which is my strength to be stronger.

  

 

            Furthermore, IT also can help me reduce my weaknesses which are lack of confidence and hard to say No. I studied how to have more self-confidence and learning how to be a person who is able to reject inappropriate situations or events. So, this is how can I improve myself by having less weaknesses through IT. Now, I applied the techniques I have read to my daily life and it is not only help me reduce my weaknesses but also improve my strengths as I have better speaking skill, presentation skill, negotiation skill, and etc. All I described above shows that IT is a part of things help shaving me to be me in this day.

            Lastly, I have some video to show to all of you to guarantee that IT can help me stengthen my strengths as to have stronger connection, better skills, and get more opportunities to do things I did not think that I will have a chance to do. Also, IT can help me reducing my weaknesses as gain more confidence, able to deny and do things I have never done before. My IT Plan B

            As everyone has known about the word "Plan B", it is the solutions we set for emergency cases or in the other words, plan B is an alternative plan to be implemented if the original plan is not work. It seems like "Plan B" is needed if people want to live their lives more safely because we have never known when our life plan will go unsuccessful or fail. Therefore, plan B is quite required for me. Today, I have an idea to share experiences about my " IT Plan B" to everyone who's reading my blog :)

        

                  To start with, I unexpectedly lost my favorite mobile phone last two year ago. I was very regret to this situation. Undoubtedly, there was not only the phone but also all of my memorable information such as photos, messages, and many things more. Anyway, this situation let me notice that "people lost something to get another new thing". After I lost that phone, I have learnt to back up my information to cloud storage. Cloud storage is a service model that the digital data is stored, maintained, managed and backed up remotely and made available to users over a network. For instance, I use iCloud on iPhone as a could storage to stored my information. It makes my life easier in transferring the data from one phone to another phone. I used to switch mobile phone of mine and my brother's. At that time, it was very convenience to interchange because my brother and I have already stored everything to our iCould. So, what we have done is only swapped the phones and deleted the data existed in those phones and then downloaded our data on iCould to our new phone. It is very useful and can help us to save time.

                Another IT Plan B that I want to share is ,Video D/L Pro, the music application. For this application, it has very interesting features. I  am able to download any clip video ,for example; music videos, series, movies and etc. as much as I want to listen and watch whenever I have to go abroad, go to rural places or wherever that has no internet access and WiFi. Moreover, I can use this app as a browser. it is able to access to every websites same as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, IE and etc. So, this application satisfies me when I want to save my internet usage or when I have to go to places where have no internet access.

How do I manage my intangible assets

          Nowadays, There are not only tangible assets like houses, condominiums, or cars that people can own, but there are also intangible assets that people are able to own like digital accounts, insurances, or stocks. In the present, both types of assets become more valuable for people especially intangible assets. That is why people need to manage their assets well whether those assets are tangible or intangible in order to protect the ownerships and take care of their assets. Therefore, I would like to share ho I manage my intangible assets in this post.

 

          First of all, I have to say that I own many intangible assets, for instance; Line account, Facebook account, Instragram account, E-mail, iCloud account, Online banking account, and etc. But, I selected only some of them to talk about. To begin with, I will discuss about my Line account. I manage my line account by setting the entry password and not allow logging in by any PCs  or other devices in order to set access barriers of my Line account. If there are any people log in to my Line account, Line appliciation will send me the notifications. It is an interesting and useful feature for safety system. Also, I categorized my Line friends into groups in order to make it simple and easy to talk in topics according to each groups. For example, I can talk to my family members and relatives in family group, I can formally talk to MGT friends in Management major group, and etc. Here are the figures to illustrate how I mange my Line account.

 

 

          Another intangible assets of mine that I am going to explain how I manage it is my online banking account. I use the account of Bank of Ayudhya or as we know in another name Krungsri Bank. This kind of application requires a strong safety system. So, the application automatically log out my username everytime I finished doing any transactions. In other words, I have to log in everytime I want to do any transactions. This safety feature protect my assets very well. Also, I can know and notice myself all transaction I have done before and also can know an available balance of mine. Therefore, I can manage my money well according to I know every transaction and processes I have done.

 

 

         All message I wrote above describes how I manage my intangible assets. Finally, I hope my post would help guide you to manage your intangible assets by any new ways.

My New Year Journey and Information Technology

It is very wonderful to begin writing the first page of my 2016 journal by having a fun journey with friends.

               My friends and I decided to travel to Khao Kho District, Phetchabun without any agenda but information technology for New Year 2016 celebration. We only planned to lived there for three days and two nights. We searched for accommodations through Agoda application. The feature of this application is that we can set the destination, numbers of people, and the date of check-in and check-out. Then, there will be various alternative choices of hotels and resort with lower prices than booking directly to those residences for us to choose. And for this trip, we have six crews together. We had a look and finally found the place that appropriate for us to live. Therefore, we lived at Prichompu Resort along the trip.

     

             While we were heading to Phetchabun, I uesd JOOX Music application to entertain my friends. It is a kind of music player application that we can download many songs as much as we want for listening offline then. It was a very fun and happy trip. All of us were having fun while proceeding to the destination until we forgot that it is too long distance from Bangkok to Phetchabun. Importantly, we won't reach the destination without Google maps application. The application found many alternative directions for us coming up with the time taken of each direction; so, we can select our best direction and follow the map until we arrive our destination. We used the application as our guide and we reached the destination safely.

                   

               We visited many places together. We went to everywhere we want without any fear of getting lost. Even though we do not have the travel plan or agenda, we still have technology that can help and provide information for us to make this journey done wonderfully. It is one of the happiest trip I have ever joined. the bond of our friendship is getting stronger because of this meaningful trip. Unforgettably, this story is how I finished writing my first page of journal of the year 2016.
